Program Design

Alpha Leadership Academy, Inc., is a year-long, certificate-bearing, leadership, technology, creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship program for student ages 10-25. The courses are taught by licensed, trained, and experienced faculties, and are students' centered. Since we believe everyone is a leader, every youth is mentored and coached to transition as peer leaders aiming to foster peer-to-peer mentoring and coaching.

  1. The launching of ALA's program begins with the gathering of stakeholders which comprises of the Founder and President, faculties, parents, donors, and community members
  2. Volunteers are chosen based on past experiences in related fields, specializations, and licensures or certificates.
  3. Through a comprehensive, selective process, volunteer staff members are engaged in rigorous training to learn how to effectively lead the program and to teach the essential contents.
  4. On our opening day, we include team-building, relationship building, and connections activities into our program to provide all students with a meaningful, fun, and engaging experience.
  5. As part of their expectations and agreement, juniors and seniors are trained and certified in the leadership program to become peer-leaders of freshmen and sophomore cohorts as role models to foster a circle of trust, and engage in open discourse.
  6. Peer-leaders work collaboratively by engaging in team-building activities, soft and social skills, goal setting, and critical thinking skills.
  7. Since all effective and high-performance schools build a stable home, school, and community partnerships, our program has a strong focus on parent involvement and engagement. Included in our program, is a Parent Cultural Night (PCN) to celebrate and recognize parents. Moreover, our program allows parents to join our volunteer staff and staff as volunteers.
  8. Beginning in year two, students who participated in the previous year of the program will become peer-leaders to incoming students. Throughout the program, the goal is to transform every youth through mentoring, teaching leadership, and technology skills. Through education and breakthrough ideas, we aim to spark creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, and a sense of purpose.
